一段快速地回顧：

有些人關心物質上的成功，有些人關心得到大量的知識，另有些人則仍想要讓他們的生活超群。然而，生命中真正重要的是：我們對別人的生命有著正面的影響。

我當達達有二十五年之久，我既沒有財富也沒有學術上的頭銜來炫耀，但有一事讓我很富有：我有很多成為”祂的愛”之工具的機會。在這些年裡，我這不尋常的角色所帶進到我生命的種種驚奇的人性互動，就是真正的福氣，而此是無法適當地以文字話語來形容的。

‘Acarya’是個帶有神祕力量的特別字，意思為：以身作則來教導別人，而我們的人類社會因為這種教導而獲益良多，因為在此以身作則裡，有很強的道德力量於其中。

我常常無法了解這種影響。即便只是和某位渴望靈性的人匆匆一會，直到許多年之後，在偶然的機會中，我才得知此某人(先前我只是簡單的會面而現在已經把他遺忘)，仍因為巴巴選擇透過我來傳達給他激勵的話，使得他持續地過著有意義的靈性生活。

很多人會想，達達們和嫡嫡們一定要具備了很多特殊的特質才能讓他們的使命成功，但其實只有一個了悟是必須的：就是要有讓上主成為自己生命主人的意願。

這樣勇敢的人生觀有著超越和澆息我們的優越感和自卑感情結的力量，而帶領我們有著心靈的純淨和逐漸養成做任何事都有著無私的動機。

我們都朝向完美而前進，而沒有人能真正地說他們已了悟至何種境界。但是回顧從前，我可以說，所有這些年讓我能夠更加容易來歡迎衝擊和困難，因為衝擊和困難這兩者已被證明是靈修進步道上的好夥伴。

在所有的失敗和不成功之後，可以讓我們了解我們的不正確，這是個要發展心胸寬大和同體大悲不可或缺的過程。

我真的感謝上主激勵我過著社會-靈性理念的積極生活，這是只有少數人才能夠了解，去擁抱的。

A quick look backwards

Some people are concerned with material success, others with acquiring a great deal of knowledge, whereas others still want their lives to run on the fast lane. And yet what really counts in life is the positive impact we have on others’ lives.

I have been a Dada for the last twenty-five years and I have neither wealth nor academic titles to show for. But one thing makes me very rich: the many opportunities I have to be an instrument of His Love. The wonderful human connections my unusual role has brought into my life during all these years, are a true blessing that will never be possible to adequately express in words.

‘Acarya’ is a special word that carries the magical power of teaching by one’s example, and our human society benefits a great deal from such type of guidance because of the tremendous moral power it can express.

I often haven’t realized the impact even a fleeting meeting could have on someone thirsty for spirituality, and only by chance, often many years later I have found out how someone I had briefly met and then long forgotten, went on leading a meaningful spiritual life thanks to the words of inspiration Baba chose to convey through me. 

Many may think that Dadas and Didis must possess many special qualities to be successful in their Mission, and yet only one realization is required: the conscious willingness to let God have the driver’s seat of one’s life.   

Such courageous outlook has the power to override and extinguish our inferiority and superiority complexes, leading to purity of mind and the gradual growth of selfless motivations behind everything one does.

We are all moving towards perfection and no one can really say the stage of spiritual realization they have reached, but looking backward I can say that all these years have taught me to more easily welcome clash and hardship, because they both have proven to be good companions on the path to spiritual progress.  

After all it’s failure and not success that lead us to the realization of our inadequacies, an indispensible process for developing magnanimity of mind and the key to freely share in everyone’s joys and sorrows.

I am truly grateful to God for inspiring me towards an active life of socio-spiritual idealism, that only few understand enough as yet to embrace.
